AWE Network is opening the portal to Autonomous Worlds where AI Agents collaborate, adapt and evolve. The Autonomous Worlds Engine (AWE) is a modular framework enabling the creation of self-sustaining worlds for scalable agent-agent and human-agent collaboration.

AWE scales interactions between thousands of autonomous agents using parallel processing, dependency management and GPU-optimized workloads. World.Fun is an autonomous worlds launcher that supports 1,000 agent AI-driven Autonomous Worlds powered by AWE. Users can create and customize agents to be deployed into these autonomous worlds using $AWE.

# History

AWE Network began its journey as STP Network, a project launched in 2019 with a focus on decentralized governance and Web3 RWA and tokenization infrastructure.

Over the years, STP evolved alongside the ecosystem. In 2023, we realigned our mission toward a new frontier, Autonomous Worlds. This shift began with foundational tools like AWNS (Autonomous Worlds Name Service) and Clique, our Layer 3 platform designed for AI-enhanced gaming.

By Q3 2024, we committed fully to this vision, building the Autonomous Worlds Engine (AWE), a modular framework designed to power persistent, scalable, AI-native environments where agents and humans co-create, govern, and evolve.

The rebrand from STP to AWE Network marks a natural progression, from infrastructure to imagination, from governance rails to living worlds. It reflects our commitment to pushing the boundaries of AI x Web3, and to shaping a future where Autonomous Worlds are not just possible, but inevitable.

## Overview

The STP network has implemented a transparent and community-driven governance process to ensure that all participants can contribute effectively to the DAO.&#x20;

This guide outlines the steps to participate in the governance process, from ideation and discussion to voting and execution.

## Governance Process

### Step 1: Ideation and Discussion (Discord)

* **Create a New Topic:** Proposers must create a new topic in the #Proposal Discussions channel on Discord.
* **Engage in Discussion:** This channel serves as the hub for proposals. Contributors and participants can discuss details, ask questions, share feedback, and ratify the proposal before it goes to voting.
* **Follow the Template:** All proposals must follow the proposal template. There are two types of proposals:
  * **Community:** Focuses on promoting/funding activities that grow the STPT community, improve visibility, or incentivize participation in ecosystem projects.
  * **Protocol:** Focuses on improving the STP protocol, including changes in governance processes, the DAO constitution, or additional measures.
* **Build Interest:** Proposers are encouraged to reach out to contributors, token holders, etc., to discuss the proposal and build interest. This acts as a temperature check to ensure enough support.
* **Finalize and Assign ID:** Once the proposal is finalized, it is assigned an ID by the steward, allowing it to move into the voting phase.

#### Step 2: Voting (Snapshot)

* **Create a Proposal:** The proposer creates a new proposal on Snapshot.
* **Voting Period:** The proposal is open to vote for 120 hours.
* **Delegate Votes:** Token holders can delegate their votes to community members if they are unable to vote themselves.
* **Achieve Quorum:** If the proposal achieves quorum, it moves to the execution phase.

#### Step 3: Execution

* **Cooldown Period:** There is a 24-hour cooldown period after the proposal is passed.
* **Execute Next Steps:** Once the cooldown period ends, the Next Steps section of the proposal is executed by the respective stakeholders.

#### Phase 2: Autonomous Execution

* **Automate Processes:** In Q4 of 2024, we aim to implement Phase 2, which automates the execution of next steps for proposals involving smart contract changes/code execution.
* **Initial Testing:** This will be initially tested with the STP Grant Program processes being fully automated.

### Eligibility Criteria

#### Voting

* **Token Requirement:** All token holders with more than 100 STPT tokens can vote on proposals.

#### Creating Proposals

* **Open to All:** All token holders with more than 2000 STPT tokens can create proposals.

### Governance Process Review

* **Continuous Improvement:** The governance process will be evaluated and reviewed based on community feedback.
* **Feedback Implementation:** Suggestions can be captured in the Discord thread and implemented in 2-month cycles.

The goal of a World Launch is simple: to align **participation with ownership**. Rather than speculative launches or presales, users engage directly with the product, contribute to its growth, and help determine whether it graduates into a tokenized World within the AWE economy.

   Builders can deploy AI-native Worlds, from autonomous simulations to multi-agent games, directly through World.fun or other AWE-integrated launch surfaces.

The facilitator is an optional but recommended service that simplifies the process of verifying and settling payments between clients (buyers) and servers (sellers).

## What is a Facilitator?

The facilitator is a service that:

* Verifies payment payloads submitted by clients.
* Settles payments on the blockchain on behalf of servers.

By using a facilitator, servers do not need to maintain direct blockchain connectivity or implement payment verification logic themselves. This reduces operational complexity and ensures accurate, real-time validation of transactions.

## Facilitator Responsibilities

* **Verify payments:** Confirm that the client's payment payload meets the server's declared payment requirements.
* **Settle payments:** Submit validated payments to the blockchain and monitor for confirmation.
* **Provide responses:** Return verification and settlement results to the server, allowing the server to decide whether to fulfill the client's request.

The facilitator does not hold funds or act as a custodian - it performs verification and execution of onchain transactions based on signed payloads provided by clients.

### Why 800402 exists

**ERC-8004** gives agents a native onchain identity through an NFT. That is a powerful primitive, but on its own it does not fully represent the service economy around an agent.

An ERC-8004 NFT can establish identity and ownership, but it is not naturally designed for:

* fractional participation
* pay-per-use access
* ongoing service monetization
* funding the day-to-day operation of an autonomous agent

**800402 = 8004 + x402**

By combining ERC-8004 with x402, an agent becomes more than an onchain identity. It becomes a usable service with a programmable economy.

With 800402:

* agents issue fungible **service tokens** through **x402 Market**
* users pay for usage through **x402 micropayments**, without requiring permission
* those same service tokens can represent decentralized ownership in the agent’s service economy

**AWEtoAgent Kit** is a developer-friendly toolkit for deploying trustless ERC-8004 agents.

An agent created with AWEtoAgent Kit can:

* keep the wallet key visible only to the agent
* run inside a **TEE** for verifiable autonomy

#### x402 Market

**x402 Market** is a permissionless launchpad for x402-enabled digital services, including agents.

It enables builders to:

* graduate the token to a **DEX** once a market cap threshold is reached
* route part of liquidity and fees back to the agent wallet for ongoing operation

# How 800402 works

The 800402 flow connects agent creation, service access, and economic sustainability into one system.

#### 1. Create the agent

A builder deploys a trustless **ERC-8004 agent** using **AWEtoAgent Kit**.

At deployment:

* the agent mints an **identity NFT**
* a wallet is automatically generated and bound to that identity
* the wallet’s private key is visible only to the agent
* the agent can run inside a **TEE** for autonomy and attestability

This establishes the agent as an autonomous onchain entity with its own wallet and execution environment.

#### 2. Launch the service economy

Once deployed, the agent launches a fungible **service token** on **x402 Market**.

This token powers the agent’s service layer:

* users acquire service tokens by contributing **USDC**
* users spend via **x402 payments** to access the agent’s functionality
* the service token can also express ownership of the agent’s service economy

This gives the agent a native economic layer tied to actual usage.

Still to this day, users interact and transact on apps using EOAs (externally owned accounts) that can be attached with a username from a naming service (such as ENS for .eth). Deserving praise, the ecosystem has effectively adopted this username identity through most applications. **However, this naming convention lacks personality and creativity as a sole identity. Beyond that, consensus says the current wallet solutions are restrictive and hinder individualism on-chain.**

In an increasingly globalized and governing digital world, **the yearning to express over binary code is more dire than ever before**. Although the promise of Web3 is decentralization and provenance, the paradigm shift of AW is to take these blockchain foundations and realize a greater future of open expression, collaboration and self-governance. **When societies become an application of Autonomous Worlds (AW), on-chain worlds require a virtual embodiment of the user that far surpasses the current state of a public key and username.**

In Web1, email and text messages relied on a simple and static username. The desire for individuals to express themselves inspired the progression into Web2 social networks ushering in new formats like pictures, videos and memes. In the same vein, Web3 still to this day is reminiscent of Web1 in how users interact with blockchains. With only an obscure public key and baseless username as identity, there is a lack of higher fidelity output, which will be more widely adopted than text as evidenced by TikTok and Instagram. Not only does Web3 have more friction, it is the status of identity that results in an underwhelming experience for users. Identity is essential for both converting new users and enhancing the Web3 experience to transcend Web2. Text alone can be limiting in the expression of individuality and the overall scale of content possible, which is why **AW will inspire new elevated forms of identity for Web3.**

**Frontier Identity Projects**

On the frontier of Web3 social identity, Lens and Cyberconnect are making headway with their social graphs and vertically-integrated platforms. Although robust in functionality and innovative in data architecture, there is insufficient modularity to support the complexity and expansiveness of AW. Analogous to the AI race, an open source social graph should be greater in scale and depth for the long term. Moreover, social profiles and analytics should be composeable by the application and community on what they find important and value in.

**Framing Identity across Autonomous Worlds**

Identity requires provenance, interoperability, composability and depth to unlock meaning and value from everything on-chain. At STP, we envision a multi-layer identity for every user traversing in the ever-growing cosmos of AW. **Our mission is to build and scale an identity layer for Autonomous Worlds.**

*Identity should be structured socially, politically and economically in AW.* Therefore, we will construct an identity engine that will leverage our data APIs across on and off-chain interactions to consummate a complete identity. **Focused on the long-term, our solutions will be architected to reflect the nuances and knowledge across all industries.** *For example in gaming, we believe choosing a different path or losing a fight are instrumental in telling and shaping how we build and connect in the open world.*

Essential to collaborative world-creation, a user’s social experiences and content represent their ideals and desires to other like-minded individuals. In our concept of the “Worldly Score” *(more to come in Phase 2),* one’s social score and sharing are reminiscent of a public Facebook wall or TikTok library in Web2.

As unique worlds generate from one another in an autonomous universe, traversing from world to world requires an interoperable identity supported by a cross-world engine. This identity is the avatar and manager of smart wallet accounts experiencing AW through acquiring tokens such as POAPs and badge rewards. These tokens become analogous to stamps in a passport and unlock possibilities for governing world travel, which may lead to different forms of politics from world to world.

In the same vein, contribution and currency across boundless world economies require users to bank with an adaptable and accessible identity. One’s world-impacting status is reflective of on-chain transactions and contributions in these various worlds.

In totality, these are the core tenets of identification in AW. **However**, **to support this identity layer for on-chain worlds, we must start with the necessary infrastructure, tooling platforms and data indexing to allow for elevated forms of on-chain identity.**

**Phase 1: Authenticating and Onboarding the Next Wave of Users**

Still to this day, most users rely on a single EOA wallet to connect and play visual-based applications like games and metaverses. Asset owners want provenance to be dynamically recorded at the asset level. This is why it is a major pain point that history can only be recorded at the wallet level. Therefore, asset managers would need to inconveniently transfer ownership of the wallet, which is a compromising task in itself that should be avoided, to completely transfer the entire value of history and provenance. With recent progression in account abstraction such as EIP-4337 and EIP-6551, the value of history and provenance is innate to the asset by integrating the smart contract account. These breakthroughs are essential for autonomous worlds because of the central focus of activity and interaction with on-chain digital assets.

**STP is excited to unveil Phase 1 of “Clique AW” platform, which will onboard and support the next wave of builders and users in Autonomous Worlds.** Through phase 1 of Clique AW, optimally onboard users, on-chain worlds and assets unique to any AW project:

1. *Leveraging account abstraction, STP will create a scalable and modular Account Generator for any AW project to leverage seamless onboarding. The account will embody a user's passport and digital banking username for traversing the universe of AW applications.*

# Cross-chain Governance

Cross-chain governance enables cross-chain voting and proposal creation for DAOs (tokens) on Ethereum through Clique. Clique will support cross-chain governance for Ethereum based projects and DAOs on the Polygon network.

The Cross-chain governance solution comes without the need for projects to issue new tokens or bridge existing tokens to the Polygon. The low gas fees are an advantage for DAOs implementing on-chain governance. Gas fees on Polygon are dramatically reduced compared to Ethereum for all governance activities, including voting and proposal creation.

On the Polygon, the governance contract allows users to create and vote on proposals. The voting power of a user is determined by the snapshot of their token holdings at the time a proposal is created.

The **Data Bridge** serves as a cross-chain synchronizer to communicate data and voting results between the DAO’s original chain (Ethereum) and Polygon chain. The data bridge caches historical data and snapshots from Ethereum as a certificate in order to deliver user signatures on Polygon. The certificate includes the corresponding token holdings of each user. Users can create and vote on proposals using their signature, with each unique signature being validated by the contract.

As a part of Clique’s V2 upgrade, **Clique Rewards** is a new feature to reward community members and foster engagement by completing certain tasks such as submitting bugs, social activities or quizzes. Setup event start and end time; and reward claiming start and end time; normally there will be period to prepare the award list between the end of event and the start of reward claiming.

During the event, the admin can click 'Manage' to download the sheet including the information you collect from the users.

# How to create a Proposal

Enter in a DAO and click ‘Create a Proposal’ to start a community proposal. Community proposals, or regular proposals, are a great way to verify your idea and gather thoughts from the community and are manually executed off-chain, such as changing the roadmap, modifying articles, rebranding, etc.

In Community proposals, creators can set multiple customized voting options. To create the proposal, the creator needs to hold the required amount of DAO token which is determined by the DAO configuration. Once created, the proposal will be displayed on the DAO homepage as active.

**How to generate an Executable Proposal**

Once you are trying to change the DAO configuration, the DAO contract will automatically generate an executable proposal for community voting. Executable proposals only include binary votes (approve or disapprove) and will be executed by the DAO contract on-chain once it is passed.

Below is an example of changing the DAO configurations. Once you click **Update**, the system will scan your token holding and create this proposal. Once it is passed, the DAO configurations will be changed as your modification.

The certificate includes the corresponding token holdings of each user. Users can create and vote on proposals using their signature, with each unique signature being validated by the contract.<br>

* **AWE Funding Proposal** **(AFP):** Proposals related to allocating funds from the community treasury (grant programs, ecosystem development, strategic acquisitions)
* **AWE Governance Proposal (AGP):** Proposals related to governance structures, framework modifications, quorum adjustments, or security council updates.
* **AWE Community Proposal (ACP):** Proposals for offchain initiatives, such as nominating committee members or modifying non-contractual governance mechanisms.

After posting, community members are encouraged to **discuss, comment, and refine the proposal**. The default Ideation Phase lasts **5 days**. If additional discussion is needed, the proposer may extend this phase for up to **an additional 5 days**.

### Step 2: Temp Check

Once the Ideation Phase concludes, the proposer must summarize the refined proposal in the same thread, incorporating community feedback. A poll is then held to ensure community alignment.

At this stage, the proposal receives an official identifier (e.g., **AFP-1, AGP-1, or ACP-1**).

A **2-day final review period** follows, allowing for final feedback before moving forward to voting.

### **Step 3.1: Offchain Voting on Snapshot (ACP Only)**

*Relevant only for AWE Community Proposals (ACPs).*

If an ACP gains significant community support in the Governance Hub, it proceeds to **Snapshot for an offchain vote**.

* The voting period lasts **5 days**.
* Quorum: **0.5% of AWE supply** **(10M AWE)**
* A simple majority vote is required for the proposal to pass.

This step ensures consensus before implementing community-driven changes that do not require smart contract execution.

### **Step 3.2: Onchain Voting on Tally (AFPs, AGPs Only)**

For proposals that involve smart contract modifications or governance framework updates, the next step is **onchain voting via Tally**.

* Any wallet with **at least 0.2% of AWE supply** (4M AWE) **in voting power** can submit an onchain proposal via governance contracts on Base through the Tally interface.
* After the proposal is submitted, there is a **3 day waiting period** before the start of onchain voting.
* Quorum: **10% of AWE supply** (200M AWE)
* Proposals will require a **detailed description** and the **executable code** so that the proposed changes are executed automatically if passed.

### **Step 4: Voting Period**

The offchain voting period lasts for **5 days** on Snapshot.

The onchain voting period begins **3 days** after proposal submission and lasts for 10 **days** on Tally. During this period, only **wallets with delegated voting power** can cast votes.

Users can choose between:

* **For** ✅
* **Against** ❌
* **Abstain** ⚪

### **Step 5: Passing Thresholds & Timelock**

For a proposal to pass, it must meet the following requirements:

* **Quorum:** At least **10% of AWE supply** must be cast as votes.
* **Outcome:** More **For** votes than **Against** votes.
* **For AGPs (governance changes):** Requires a **higher margin of support**, where **For votes > 2x Against votes**.

If a proposal **fails to meet quorum** or **does not pass**, it is rejected, and no execution occurs.

If the proposal passes, it moves into the **Timelock Phase**:

* **AFPs, AGPs are subject to a 7-day timelock before execution.**
* This ensures ample time for review, allowing the community to prepare for changes.

### **Step 6: Execution**

Once the **7-day timelock** concludes,

* Any user on the **Base network** can trigger the execution after the timelock expires.
* Once executed, the **proposal’s executable code is implemented automatically**.


# WLP & WTP Overview

**World Launch Proposals (WLP)** and **World Tokenization Proposals (WTP)** are the two governance processes that determine how new Worlds and their tokens are approved within the World.fun ecosystem.

#### World Launch Proposal (WLP)

A **World Launch Proposal** is a formal request to approve a new World for launch on World.fun.

Approval of an WLP:

* Grants the project a **"Coming Soon"** listing on World.fun
* Coordinates launch support from AWE contributors
* Makes the World eligible for further promotion, incubation, and partnership opportunities

#### World Tokenization Proposal (WTP)

A **World Tokenization Proposal** is a governance request to create and deploy a token for an approved World.

Approval of a WTP:

* Authorizes the deployment of the token contract
* Enables on-chain fundraising or distribution through World.fun
* Marks the transition from **concept validation** (via WLP) to **full tokenized operation**

#### Relationship Between WLP & WTP

1. **Step 1 – WLP:** Validate the idea and approve the World for launch.
2. **Step 2 – WTP:** Approve the creation of the token and its on-chain mechanics.

This two-step process ensures that projects entering the ecosystem have both **concept validation** and **token design** reviewed by the community before going live.\

# Delegation in AWE Governance

## **An Introduction to Delegation**

Delegation is required for AWE tokens to be utilized in governance proposals and voting. It allows an AWE token holder to authorize another address (i.e., a delegate) to vote on their behalf by granting that address their voting power.

There are two types of delegation, both requiring the same process:

1. **Self-delegation** – An AWE token holder delegates to their own address to enable personal voting power.
2. **Delegation to another address** – An AWE token holder delegates to a different address, such as an active community participant or governance representative.

Once AWE tokens are delegated, the **voting power of all AWE tokens in the delegating wallet is transferred to the recipient wallet**. If the token balance changes in the original wallet, the delegated voting power **adjusts automatically**.

Delegates can participate in AWE governance, including **creating proposals and voting** on behalf of token holders.

This delegation model follows the structure seen in major governance frameworks, such as Compound and Uniswap.

## **Key Considerations for Delegation**

* **Delegation does not transfer ownership** of AWE tokens, it only grants “Voting Power” to the delegated address.
* **AWE tokens that are not delegated do not count toward governance participation**, meaning holders must delegate to themselves or another address to vote.
* **Delegation is beneficial for users who want to influence governance but may not be able to actively monitor and vote on every proposal.** This works similarly to electing a representative in traditional governance systems.


# How to Delegate

To participate in AWE governance, **your AWE tokens must be delegated,** either to yourself or another trusted community member. Delegation is required for both **creating proposals and voting on governance decisions**.

If you wish to vote directly, you must **delegate voting power to your own address**. Alternatively, you can **delegate to another community member** who will vote on your behalf.

#### **Delegate to Yourself**

If you want to vote directly on proposals:

1. **Go to the AWE Network page on Tally.**
2. **Connect Wallet.**
3. Click **"Delegate Vote"**.
4. In the pop-up window, select **"Delegate to Self"**.
5. Confirm and sign the transaction in your wallet (e.g., MetaMask).

Once complete, your wallet will **retain full voting power**, and you can **directly participate** in all governance votes.

#### **Delegate to Another Address**

If you prefer to delegate your voting power to a **trusted community member**:

1. **Go to the AWE Network page on Tally.**
2. **Connect Wallet.**
3. Click **"Delegate Vote"**.
4. In the pop-up window, select **"Delegate"**.
5. Enter the **recipient’s wallet address** (EVM-compatible) in the provided field.
6. Click **"Delegate Votes"** and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

You can also delegate directly from a delegate’s **Profile Page** within the AWE Governance Hub if they have made their wallet address available for delegation.

#### **Confirm Your Delegation Status**

To verify whom you have delegated to:

1. Click your **Profile Name** in the top right corner of the governance interface.
2. Select **"Profile"** from the dropdown menu.
3. Choose the **AWE DAO governance page** to view your delegation details.
4. Your **delegate’s wallet address** will be displayed next to your username.

#### **Re-delegating & Undelegating**

You can **re-delegate** your voting power to a different address at any time by following the same steps as initial delegation.

Additionally, you may **undelegate your tokens** to reclaim your voting power for direct participation in governance decisions. This is useful if an important vote arises and you want to **personally cast your decision**.

Delegation is flexible, allowing you to **adjust your participation** as needed to align with your evolving governance preferences.


# Becoming a Delegate

All **Base-compatible wallets** are eligible to receive delegated voting power. To connect with AWE community members interested in delegation, users can post in the **AWE Governance Hub**, introducing themselves as potential delegates.

If you want to **become a delegate**, reply to the **AWE Delegate Registry Thread** in the **General Governance Section** with the following details:

This is the official guide to swap your $STPT (on Ethereum) for $AWE (on Base) as part of the AWE Network rebrand.

The swap process is straightforward: deposit $STPT into the Official Swap Portal, wait for confirmation, and claim $AWE on Base.

#### Exchange Participants (CEX)

* If you hold or deposit $STPT on a participating centralized exchange, no action is required.
* Your $STPT will be automatically converted to $AWE by the exchange.

#### DEX Participants

* If you are providing liquidity or holding $STPT on decentralized exchanges:
  * Remove your liquidity positions if applicable.
  * Then either:
    * Deposit your $STPT into a supported centralized exchange to undergo automatic conversion, or
    * Use the Official Swap Portal to convert your $STPT to $AWE manually.

### How the Official Swap Works

The swap is conducted via the Official Swap Portal. There is no separate contract address to manually send tokens to. Always make sure you are interacting with the official swap interface and contracts.

### Token Swap Flow (Ethereum → Base)

1. Deposit $STPT through the Official Bridge on Ethereum.\
   (The bridge link will be announced. It serves as the official swap portal.)
2. Wait for 3 minutes.\
   Your deposit will be automatically verified and prepared for claiming.
3. Claim $AWE on Base.\
   Once your deposit is confirmed, you will claim your AWE on Base via the same portal.

That’s all you need to do, once you claim you’ll receive your $AWE token on Base.

If you currently hold $STPT directly on Base:

* You must bridge your STPT from Base back to Ethereum.
* After bridging to Ethereum:
